We had Ella's birthday party this past Saturday. It was so much fun. And it was easy. I think anyone who has ever hosted something at their house knows how much work goes into getting everything party ready. Ella's first and second birthday parties were both at our house and they were super fun. But, after 2 years of pre-party set up and post-party clean up, we wanted to do it somewhere else. Luckily, there is an AWESOME park about 5 minutes away from our house that Ella absolutely loves. It's new, clean, fun and what kid doesn't love a park? So, we hosted her party there this year and it was a hit, I think. At least we thought it was. We kept things super simple (for real this year) and served cake, fruit, cheese and crackers. The only negative was that the park does not allow alcohol. What's a toddler's birthday without alcohol? I tried explaining this to the city, but they didn't seem to understand. The weather was great, even though it was a little hot. And when I say a little, I really mean a lot, but we had shade under the pavilions so it wasn't too bad. I think between me, my parents, and my in-laws, we must have taken over 1000 pictures this weekend. I won't share all of them with you, so here are a select few (in random order).

Can you guess who painted the toes? I'm going to get in trouble for posting this.
