Go Braves!

Last Monday afternoon around 2:00, David scored some awesome tickets for the Braves game on Tuesday night.  He kindly offered them to me and told me I should take some girlfriends because he was going to be out of town for the weekend.  I tried to make it a girl's night, but busy schedules prevented that from happening.  It was a blessing in disguise though, because it wound up being just the 3 of us.  We left Finley at home with a sitter.  It was a night game and she doesn't sit still so it probably would not have been that much fun for her.  Finley, we promise to make it up to you.

This wasn't Ella's first Braves game.  Like crazy people, we took her to her first game when she was 5 weeks old.  But, it was to celebrate a friend's birthday and we had a suite.   David and I did look at each other as we are wheeling our 5 week old newborn through the crowds of Turner field with a "Oh my Lord, what have we done?" look on our faces, but she survived and didn't contract any diseases while she was there.  And a good time was had by all.

And the fun continues 3 years later.  It was such a fun and special night.  Ella was the cutest Braves fan ever and she even learned the "Tomahawk Chop".  She tasted Dip and Dots ice cream for the first time and LOVES it.  We also learned this very important fact:  peanuts are a good way to keep toddlers entertained.  Ella worked on trying to shell a peanut for a good 20 minutes while we were at the game.  It was so cute.  She loved the game so much that she wanted (and did) to wear her Braves shirt to preschool the very next day.

Before the game.  Please note David's shirt.  He bought it for himself.

Still working...

Still going.

Almost done.

The Tomahawk Chop.  I think her arm gets tired because she tries to hold it up with the other hand. (Video is a little long).
