Ok Friends, life is just so good right now.  It's really good all the time though isn't it?  Nothing in particular happened for me to feel this way, I just feel like I'm so blessed with all many treasures in my life.  I'm so thankful and grateful for so many things right now.  Here's the short list:

1.  My fab husband and awesome daughters (obviously).  David is just the best in so many ways and I cannot imagine my life without him.  He is my rock.  Ella is the funniest 3 year old and makes me laugh all day long.  Finley is the most assertive 15 month (yikes!) ever and I love her sassy and scrappy attitude. Of course, my crazy dogs belong in this one too.
2.  My fab parents, brother and in-laws and extended family.  They love me the same even though I've relinquished my number 1 spot on both sides of the family to Ella and Finley.  I've come to terms with it and I'm totally ok with it.  They are the best ever.

3.  My incredible friends.  I have friends I've known since I was 5 years old, since middle school, since high school, since college, and since living in Atlanta, and since having kids.  How fun is it to have friends from all phases of life?  I love them all so much.  Y'all are awesome!

4.  I am so thankful, that one of my college friends, Sage, is going to have TRIPLETS tomorrow.  For realz, triplets.  And they are all girls!!   Sage is such a rock star and has been in the hospital, on bed rest for 6 weeks.  Anyone, other than Sage, would go crazy, but she's taken it all in stride.  Go to her blog,, to read all about her adventure.  Sending up lots of prayers for you and Jack and I cannot wait to see pictures of those babies!

5.     My awesome church and Sunday School class.  I can't even begin to say how special these 2 things are in our lives.

6.  The Holidays.  I'm obsessed with this time of year!  LOVE it.  I can't wait to start decorating for Christmas.  I think I've already blogged a little bit about this.

7.  Pinterest.  Obsessed.  This will be a huge resource to me in doing number 6.  I wish I could spend/waste more time on it.  However, it totally tricks me into believe I can turn into Martha Stewart/Bob Villa (for David)/Vern Yip/Paula Deen.

8.   Good Health.  Enough said.

9.  Football!!  Go Pack Go!  We are headed to a Monday Night Green Bay game in a couple of weeks. We are so excited!

10.  The Kardashians.  It's such a guilty, dumb, and stupid pleasure, but I just get sucked in and can't stop watching them.  And, Kris and Kim are getting divorced after 72 days of being married.  Total shocker, I know.

That's all friends.  What are you thankful for?

Pumpkin Patch Pictures

I just realized I never posted pictures from our Pumpkin Patch visit a few weeks ago.  It's been a while since I downloaded pictures onto my computer.  Now, when I do it, it's kind of like the proverbial box of chocolates--I never really know what I'm going to get.  (Bad joke, I know).  So, I finally got around to downloading some pictures last week.  It's Wednesday of the following week and I'm just now getting around to posting them.  Stuff just kind of gets in the way sometimes.  And, when I downloaded the pictures, there were some on my camera from our beach trip in August.  It's almost November.

Rock Ranch

So, this past weekend we went to the country version of Disney World.  Friends, this place is incredible.  It's called the Rock Ranch and it's basically a huge farm in Barnesville, GA with everything from petting zoos, to fishing, to zip lines, to train rides, to jumpy houses.  And one of the best parts about it is that it's sponsored by Chick Fil A so you know it's got to be a good thing right?

I went with a group of my girlfriends and their kids and it could not have been more fun.  This was kind of a moms and kids day as David and the other dads spent the day at the Green Egg Festival.  We decided to carpool so I drove David's tank of a car with Ella and Finley and then we picked up our friends, Camila ('s an AMAZING blogger), and her two boys, Winlon and Speight.  Holy car seats!  It was a packed house, but it was so fun on the way down, especially for Camila who probably got out of her seat at least 67 times picking up sippy cups and snack cups.  Winlon was forced to watch "Tangled" on the way down, but I don't think he minded because he had on his "ear cones" (aka head phones).  It was so cute.  David, the master packer that he is, strategically loaded both double running strollers in the back and carefully explained to both Camila and me how to make them fit.  It was a bit of a challenge getting them back in once we were done for the day, but we were able to make it work.

After a fun morning, we headed back to Atlanta and all the kids, minus Ella, zonked out in the car.  We spent the rest of the day at Camila and Sean's house and it was so spontaneous which made it even better. Sean and David made it back from EggFest and we turned over the kids to them for a bit while we, meaning Camila, made dinner and started in on a few bottles of wine.  The kids has so much fun and played so well together.  The dinner was amazing and then things got really wild and crazy.  We decided to bathe 4 kids in the same bathtub at the same time.  There is something sweet, precious, and fun about kids taking a bath together.  Fun days make for tired kids and both girls passed out big time on the way home.  It was such a great day!!!

I've uploaded a bunch of pictures, so just be prepared.

Pumpkin Patch and Other Stuff

This is my favorite time of year.  I LOVE it.  I love that it's starting to feel more like fall outside and I love that the holidays are almost here.  I even started playing Christmas music this past week.  I know it's October, but I can't help it.  I realized that Halloween music does exist thanks to the "Halloween music" station on Comcast (channel 933 for anyone that's curious).  Halloween music is weird.  For example, the song that's playing now is "Jabberwock Song".   Enough said.  So what other choice do I have than to play Christmas music?  I just love Christmas music and I feel like it should be played more than 5 weeks out of the year.  David gave me the "I think you're crazy" look last week when he came home from work and "Silent Night" was blaring from my phone.  If anyone is interested, Pandora has best Christmas music station ever.

So, since Halloween is almost here, we made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch on Saturday.  We didn't go last year and I can't remember why, so this year was super fun.  We went with our friends, the Chiocks.  The place we go to is a farm about 30 minutes north of Atlanta and there's lots of kid stuff to do like petting zoos, tractor rides, and of course, pumpkins.  There weren't tons of pumpkins this year, but enough to make all of the kids excited.  I took a ton of pictures and will post them as soon as I upload them to my computer.  Really, I'm just too tired (lazy) to upload them right now.

I will post pictures soon, but this tired momma is going to take another shower and then go to bed.  The girls had waffles tonight for supper and Finley liked them so much she wanted to share them with me.  So, she spit them up, along with her milk all over my hair and face.  It's not a good smell in case anyone is wondering.

Dental Disappointment

I took Ella to the dentist this morning.  The last time she was there was in August of 2010 and they told us to come back in 1 year.   Her last visit consisted of her going into a back room, opening her mouth for about 2 seconds, and then they sent her on her way.  Today's visit was a little different.

This morning I told her the dentist is so fun and that they will make her open her mouth really wide, count all of her teeth, put a special potion on them, and brush them with a special tool.  She got really excited but then in the car she told me she didn't want to go to the dentist or into the special room.   I was a little nervous when they came to take her back, but she walked with them like she owned the place.  (I think the video games in the lobby erased any fears or anxiety she had about the dentist).  15 minutes later out came my happy, smiling daughter.  Then out came the dentist.  She told me that Ella has 1 cavity.  Total failure on my part.  I'm obsessed with brushing her teeth and I make sure she (really me) brushes them 2 times every day.  She has a small cavity on one of her bottom teeth.  The dentist explained that  the way the gum surrounds the tooth makes it really easy for food to get stuck in there and really hard to get out.  Now, I don't know if she told me this to make the look of disappointment disappear from my face or make me feel better, but she told me not to worry and acted like it wasn't a big deal.  I know it's not a big deal at all, but I'm a tad bit disappointed.  Now I know it's so small in the grand scheme of things that it practically doesn't exist, but my 3 year old has a cavity.  No bueno.  And this comes in time just for Halloween so I guess we're going sugar free at our house (David will be so excited) and passing out apples this year.  Just kidding.

Here's a picture from our visit today.  And no, I'm not the wacko mom who secretively snuck down the hall and took this picture while they weren't looking.  I'm not that crazy.
